CIARA KAY HERGOTT IS a queer Korean American Writer and Director located in Los Angeles. She was raised in a small town in Nebraska, and writes stories for all the mixed kids who don’t fit the mold in the conservative midwest. There’s so much vulnerability, humor, and beauty during even the most mundane stages of self discovery, which makes for the most honest kinds of storytelling. As a young writer, she’s still trying to figure out who she is, what she wants to be when she grows up, her sexuality, identity, and how exactly to tiptoe between the way she looks and the culture that she was raised with. It’s scary to say the least.
